There are many ways for kids to learn and memorize math facts. Some families use songs, others watch DVDs, and still others choose flash cards and other methods to drill and practice these basic skills.
A fun way that appeals to certain learners is “Times Tables the Fun Way”, a little spiral-bound board book filled with math cartoons and stories teaching the facts. The stories are silly and, because of this, they’re memorable. Kids tend to remember the facts by recalling the hilarious, often ridiculous, story lines.
An example is the story of two 6’s who became very thirsty. These were two very “thirsty sixes”, which sounds an awful lot like “Thirty Six” if you say it fast enough. Get the idea?
